SIG: Issues in Informal Interfaces

This SIG is for designers, researchers and developers interested in "informal interfaces" - interfaces which break away from the rectalinear windows metaphor and offer more pliable paradigms for user interaction.

Meyer will give a brief review showing examples of informal interfaces. There will be an open discussion on topics including: design approaches, sketch-like and non-photorealistic rendering techniques, input devices, interaction methods, usability results, markets and opportunities.

Feel free to bring examples illustrating your own work and experiences.
