Additional Activities
Additional activities will be featured throughout the conference. All conference
attendees are welcome to participate in these events (except the Doctoral
Consortium).
- Video Program
- The Formal Video program will be shown continuously throughout
the conference.
- Interactive Posters
- Interactive Posters provide an excellent opportunity to discuss late-breaking
results and ongoing work during the presentation.
- Informal Demonstrations
- CHI 96 will provide space for informal demonstrations of works in progress or
works completed too late to meet the formal program deadlines.
- Exhibits
- The exhibits provide an opportunity for conference attendees to learn about a
broad spectrum of new products.
- Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
- SIGs enable groups sharing common interests to meet
informally for discussion.
- Doctoral Consortium
- The CHI 96 Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity for Ph.D. candidates to
discuss their work together with a panel of faculty and industrial researchers.
- Conference Reception
- The Conference Reception will take place at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver on
Wednesday, April 17.
- ACM/SIGCHI Business Meeting
- The annual ACM/SIGCHI Business Meeting will be held after the last session of
the day on Tuesday.
- Commons
- The CHI 96 Commons serves as the "town square" of the conference.
