Additional Activities

Additional activities will be featured throughout the conference. All conference attendees are welcome to participate in these events (except the Doctoral Consortium).

Video Program
The Formal Video program will be shown continuously throughout the conference.
Interactive Posters
Interactive Posters provide an excellent opportunity to discuss late-breaking results and ongoing work during the presentation.
Informal Demonstrations
CHI 96 will provide space for informal demonstrations of works in progress or works completed too late to meet the formal program deadlines.
Exhibits
The exhibits provide an opportunity for conference attendees to learn about a broad spectrum of new products.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
SIGs enable groups sharing common interests to meet informally for discussion.
Doctoral Consortium
The CHI 96 Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity for Ph.D. candidates to discuss their work together with a panel of faculty and industrial researchers.
Conference Reception
The Conference Reception will take place at the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver on Wednesday, April 17.
ACM/SIGCHI Business Meeting
The annual ACM/SIGCHI Business Meeting will be held after the last session of the day on Tuesday.
Commons
The CHI 96 Commons serves as the "town square" of the conference.
